While the Carbon-CAP research aimed at policy-makers, the consortium greatly value the views of business representatives on the validity of the findings. Business will be concerned that any regulations or other policy initiatives maintain a level playing field; are introduced with adequate notice to allow to adjust; do not impose undue administrative burden.

Final workshop of the Carbon-CAP, 11th of October 2016, Brussels

The Carbon-CAP research team aimed to assist policy makers, businesses and consumer groups in understanding the key findings of Carbon-CAP 'Carbon emission mitigation by Consumption-based Accounting and Policy’. This event was particularly to discuss the potential of consumer-based policy instruments to reduce emissions associated with EU consumption and to facilitate dialogue between policy makers, business leaders and consumer representatives on how they can work together implementing portfolios of these instruments going forward.
